Finding the correct size makes a significant difference to the comfort, security and appearance of your jewellery or watch. Use our guides below to measure at home, or visit a Berry's Jewellers showroom for personal sizing assistance.
Ring Size Guide
The most accurate way to establish your ring size is to visit one of our showrooms, where our team can measure your finger professionally. If that is not convenient, our printable Ring Size Guide provides two ways to estimate your size at home.
Measure a Ring You Already Own
Choose a ring that fits the same finger on which the new ring will be worn.
Print the Berry's Ring Size Guide on A4 paper at 100% scale. Do not select “Fit to page” or “Scale to fit”.
Place the ring over the printed circles.
Match the inside edge of your ring as closely as possible to the sizing circle.
Measure Your Finger
Print and cut out the sizing band on the Berry's Ring Size Guide.
Wrap it comfortably around the base of the intended finger.
Make sure it can also pass over your knuckle without being excessively loose.
Measure more than once, ideally at different times of day.
For the most reliable result: avoid measuring when your hands are unusually cold or hot. Fingers can change size during the day, and the same finger on your opposite hand may be a different size.
The table below shows the inside diameter and circumference used on our printable ring guide. Measurements taken at home should be treated as a guide, particularly for wide bands, unusually shaped rings and stone-set designs.

Watch & Wrist Size Guide
Wrist circumference is useful when adjusting a bracelet, but it does not determine the ideal watch case size on its own. Case diameter, lug-to-lug length, thickness, case shape and bracelet or strap construction all influence how a watch wears.
How to Measure Your Wrist
Measure around the part of your wrist where you normally wear your watch.
Keep the tape or printable sizer comfortably against the skin without pulling it tight.
Record the circumference in centimetres or millimetres.
If ordering a watch online, provide your wrist measurement where the product offers bracelet adjustment.
Case diameter is the width of the case, normally excluding the crown.
Lug-to-lug measures the watch from the end of the upper lugs to the end of the lower lugs and often gives a better indication of wrist coverage.
Case thickness affects how prominently the watch sits and whether it slips easily beneath a cuff.
Under 34 mmCompact and traditional
34 to 38 mmRestrained and versatile
39 to 42 mmContemporary mainstream
43 mm+Bold wrist presence
These case-size descriptions are general guidance only. Two watches with the same case diameter can wear very differently.
Complimentary bracelet adjustment: where available for the watch you are purchasing, our team can adjust the bracelet before dispatch using the wrist measurement supplied with your order. We recommend retaining all removed links.
Bracelet & Bangle Size Guide
Bracelet sizing varies between flexible chains, rigid bangles and individual jewellery brands. Always check the specific product's sizing options where shown.
How to Measure for a Bracelet
Wrap a flexible tape around your wrist at the point where the bracelet will sit.
Measure snugly against the skin without compressing the wrist.
Add the amount of ease you prefer, depending on whether you like a close or relaxed fit.
Compare the resulting measurement with the size shown on the individual product page.
Measuring for a Bangle
For a closed bangle that must pass over the hand, wrist circumference alone may not be enough. Bring the thumb and little finger together and measure around the widest part of your hand, or compare the internal diameter with a bangle that already fits comfortably.
Hinged and opening bangles may use the wrist measurement instead, depending on their design.
Brand sizing can differ significantly. Individual jewellery manufacturers may use their own size systems, so refer to the specific product information or contact our team if you are unsure.
Necklace Length Guide
Chain length determines where a necklace sits, although neck circumference, body proportions, clothing and pendant size can change the final appearance.

For pendants: remember that the pendant itself extends below the chain. If you are comparing lengths at home, use an existing necklace or a soft tape to preview the approximate position.
Size Guide FAQs
What is the most accurate way to find my ring size?
Visiting a Berry's showroom for professional sizing is the most accurate option. If you are measuring at home, take several measurements and use our printable ring guide at 100% print scale.
Should I size up for a wider ring?
Wider rings can feel tighter than narrow bands at the same nominal size. Depending on the design, a slightly larger size may be more comfortable. Our team can advise on the individual ring.
Can Berry's adjust my watch bracelet before delivery?
Where bracelet adjustment is offered for the watch, you can provide your wrist measurement when ordering. Our team can adjust the bracelet before dispatch and we recommend retaining all removed links.
Does wrist size determine which watch diameter I should buy?
No. Wrist size is only one consideration. Lug-to-lug length, case thickness, case shape and bracelet or strap design can make watches with the same stated diameter fit very differently.
Why can jewellery sizing differ between brands?
Brands can use different size systems and individual jewellery designs can fit differently. Always check the specific product information and contact us if you would like help converting a size.
Can every ring be resized?
No. The design, metal and gemstone setting determine whether resizing is possible. Full eternity rings and some highly intricate designs can have particularly limited resizing options.
