ABOUT BERRY'S JEWELLERS
With stores and boutiques across the UK we are proudly known for the high quality of our jewellery and exceptional customer service, with a particular expertise in fine watches and diamonds. In 2022, Berry’s celebrated 125 years in business.
Founded in 1897 with shops in Scarborough and Southport, Mr Abe Berens later established a shop in Lands Lane, Leeds before his daughter Jeanne and her husband Gee Wolff took the business forward as one of the top quality retail jewellers based in Bond Street, Leeds. Four generations later, Jean’s son-in-law, Mr Jeffrey Walton with his son Simon and Grandson Oliver, have expanded and developed the business with eleven locations in Leeds, Hull, Newcastle, Nottingham, the historic Cities of York and Windsor. Leeds is home to a Vacheron Constantin boutique as well as a dedicated OMEGA Boutique and Breitling Concept store. In 2023, we opened an OMEGA showroom in Nottingham.
Jewellery is sourced and imported from around the world ensuring customers are presented with a range combining the very latest fashion and styles alongside traditional and classic pieces.
To achieve the highest standards, diamonds are expertly purchased loose in Tel Aviv, Israel and the colour stones are sourced from the finest gem stone dealers. The diamonds are carefully graded using the 4 C’s (the colour, the clarity, the cut and the carat) whereupon diamond rings are manufactured by Berry’s to their own designs. The result is a superb collection of diamond and coloured stone jewellery of the highest quality and unrivalled value. In addition, Berry’s represent the leading Swiss watch manufacturers and stock the world’s most exclusive brands of watches.
To complement our extensive range of jewellery, watches and giftware, Berry’s Jewellers also offer professional expertise to complete the full spectrum of customer service. Within our design workshop, we undertake all important repair, cleaning and restorative work on valued pieces from the re-stringing of pearls to matching and replacing lost gemstones. In addition to these services, our designers can create innovative designs to refashion jewellery into the very latest style or to a customer’s specific requirement.
The Berry’s Group also have a department dedicated to jewellery consultancy, incorporating gemmological appraisal (gem testing and evaluation) and insurance services.
Our policy of 'Excellence in Every Quarter' is upheld by everyone who works for us and in our centenary year we were rewarded with being chosen as one of the world's leading jewellers and watch specialists, judged on selection and service.
