The history of OMEGA Speedmaster Watches spans iconic lines available in our selection, from the Moonwatch to the vintage-inspired Speedmaster '57, dynamic Racing, Anniversary Heritage Editions and specialist ranges including the X-33 and Pilot. Introduced in 1957 as a motorsport chronograph with tachymeter bezel and manual-wind movement, the Speedmaster became the first watch worn on the Moon on 20 July 1969 during Apollo 11, and the only watch flight-qualified by NASA for all manned space missions. Over decades, the range evolved with 42mm cases in steel, ceramic or Moonshine Gold, Calibre 3861 Master Chronometer precision, Hesalite or sapphire crystals and dial variants from classic black to reverse panda.

The Speedmaster '57 offers vintage-inspired 40.5mm steel models with blue or green dials, manual-wind movements and bracelet or leather strap options, capturing 1957 motorsport roots with Master Chronometer precision. Dynamic Speedmaster Racing models in 44.25mm steel-ceramic cases feature automatic movements, white or black dials and 100m water resistance. Anniversary and Heritage Editions, including Dark Side of the Moon and First OMEGA in Space, deliver bold ceramic cases and collector appeal alongside specialist ranges: the X-33 Marstimer in 45mm titanium, the Super Racing and the 38mm Speedmaster chronographs, among them the Milano Cortina 2026 edition marking OMEGA's role as official Olympic timekeeper.
