The central hands are also treated with Panerai's patented luminous material and have been carved into crisp sword-shaped structures. A small seconds sub-dial has also been placed at the 9 o’clock location. All of the elements on this broad, minimalist dial, including the company name, emblazoned onto its surface, are protected by a sheet of sapphire crystal glass. Integrated with anti reflective and scratch resistant properties, the glass works in conjunction with a trademarked crown-protecting bridge and the 30-meter water resistant casing to ensure a moisture-free environment for the P.4001 calibre and its impressive 3-day power reserve.
