The Around the World in 80 Days series of designs from Montblanc's Meisterstuck Collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel by Jules Verne. The Classique Fountain pen in deep blue precious resin draws on the first leg of the journey of the characters, crossing the Mediterranean Sea via steamboat. This part of the journey lasted for 18 days, a detail which is engraved to the cap top. The pen features a platinum coated clip with black lacquered ace of spades card motif.  The 14ct gold nib showcases a hot air balloon detail, another nod to the story.
