Berry’s Jewellers will focus all of their fundraising efforts throughout the course of 2021 in aid of the charity, Dementia UK, providing specialist dementia support for families through the Admiral Nurse service.
“Our vision is to make a difference for anyone who may be terminally ill, have mental health issues or be socially deprived and to support young, poorly or disabled people to improve their lives and hopefully add a little sparkle”
After many years helping many charities on an ad hoc basis, we are now launching the Berry’s Charity Scheme to focus on one main Charity per year. Our staff regularly take part in fundraising efforts with both local and national charities and we want to improve and hopefully increase the amount we raise by being more united in our approach. We realise that many Charities are underfunded and under pressure to raise money and we want to try and help them.
We have decided that the best way to do this is to ask Registered charities to approach us directly during the year and apply for their Charity to be our chosen charity for the next year. We simply ask potential charities to fill in the form downloaded via the button below and return back to firstname.lastname@example.org and our newly formed Berry’s Charity Team will then assess each application and make the decision.
On the 13th September 2020, 14 of our Berry’s Colleagues walked the 21 beautiful miles from Alnwick Castle to Bamburgh Castle on the Northumberland Coast on a sponsored walk for our chosen Charity for 2020, Give a Duck [registered charity number 1164904], this was the culmination of our efforts for the charity in 2020. Through this very challenging year for everyone, we currently stand on a total fundraising figure of £6,865.60, with the instore collection tins still to count!
The Berry’s Team carried out the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of Martin House on the 8th of September 2019, raising over £3,000 to go towards the fantastic work Martin House accomplish.
Martin House provides family-led care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. We support families from across West, North and East Yorkshire, both at our hospice and in the community. Our families are at the heart of everything we do and we value each member as an individual with their own needs.
In 2019 Berry's teamed up with The Eve Appeal for their Get Lippy campaign.
The Eve Appeal is the only UK charity dedicated to funding research into gynaecological cancers. 58 women are diagnosed with a gynae cancer each day. Berry’s offered the chance to be a part of this incredible campaign by showing your support and purchasing this truly meaningful necklace. £50 of every sale will be donated to this wonderful cause. Support early detection for the women of today and prevention for the daughters of tomorrow
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria and to raise funds for local charities, Berry’s are creating a Lion of Windsor.
Berry’s Lion of Windsor ‘Diamond Empress’ has arrived! Designed and created by Anna Kompaniets, who has worked for and with some of the most talented artists and designers in the UK including the Alexander McQueen, Andrew Logan, Vivienne Westwood, Hew Locke among others. Features of our lion include Queen Victoria’s favourite flower and co-incidentally the colour of Amethyst- Berry’s signature colour, and a clock inspired by the clock in Windsor Royal Station, also created in 1897, coincidentally the same year Berry’s was founded
