If it’s one industry that Breitling have worked hard to become associated with it’s aviation. The Navitimer collection is one of the most widely recognised and sought-after pilots watches in the world and features the slide rule bezel for working out a number of calculations whilst flying the skies. An in-house calibre powers the classic Navitimer watch – the Breitling 01 movement with a 70 hour power reserve and a performance of 28.800 vibrations per hour. Breitling Navitimer watches go far beyond the uses and functionality of any standard chronograph. Speed calculations, fuel consumption, decent rates and climbing rates are all made possible with this finely tuned instrument. The Breitling Navitimer 1 with a 43mm diameter and a Stratos grey dial is a particular favourite of ours here at Berry’s. It features an 18ct rose gold and stainless steel case construction, equipped with 30 meter water resistance and an interchangeable strap option.

Although other iconic watches like the Breitling Premier, the Breitling Navitimer 8, the Galactic and the Chronomat are much loved favourites, this guide wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t mention the Breitling Transocean collection. These epic timekeeping tools are dress watches with a distinct retro charm. With added features like a moonphase display, a perpetual calendar and various limited editions, the Breitling Transocean watch collection is developed for professionals, travellers and sophisticated businessmen. The watches are powered by in-house COSC-certified calibres and cater to the needs of males and females alike.

The Transocean line has been in manufacture since 1958 and was initially a three hand watch before chronographs were added into the family. With relatively tame designs compared to some of Breitling’s other collections. These watches are destined for the wrists of those who like to keep things sleek and sophisticated no matter what the occasion. Textile straps, stainless steel bracelets and leather bands are all seen throughout the Transocean collection, including steel mesh bands like this 1950’s inspired Breitling Transocean 1918 Limited Edition watch, which pays homage to its era with special font bearing the Breitling lettering and large Arabic numerals for the hour track. This watch in particular is powered by the Breitling B14 movement complete with an impressive 70 hour power reserve and a performance that can be viewed through the back of a 100 meter water resistant steel case, fitted with a crisp sapphire glass lens.
