The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris watch draws inspiration from its own iconic Memovax Polaris from 1968, integrated with the famous alarm function. It served as an important instrument for letting the diver now when it was time to come up to the surface. The two off-centre crowns and thick, chunky bezel has inspired the company’s new pieces from the Polaris collection, like this striking Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic. The 41mm watch sits with confidence on the wrist, enhanced by this rich sleek black dial with accompanying mixed numeral and baton hour index around the edge. These details along with the central hands have been coated in a luminescent treatment. This gent’s Jaeger-LeCoultre watch promises legibility first and foremost. The internally fitted 898E/1 movement consists of 195 individual parts and promises a 40 hour power reserve.

It can be viewed through the reverse of the case, thanks to an innovative sapphire crystal glass back. The diver-inspired watch is available on this elegant brown leather strap with matching brown stitching and polished stainless steel fastenings. The off-centred crown at 2 o’clock adjusts the rotating rehaut, whilst the 4 o’clock crown adjusts the time.
