Patek Philippe Releases from Watches & Wonders 2023

At the recent Watches & Wonders 2023 Exhibition in Geneva, Patek Philippe added an impressive seventeen new references to a selection of its many sought-after collections.

These new models showcase the maison’s commitment to producing exceptional timepieces that are both stylish and functional. The new references range from a Calatrava with an original 24-hour display and a Travel Time function for the display of a second time zone, to the first Annual Calendar to enter the ladies’ Aquanaut Luce collection. We invite you to read more about these novelties below.

Among the five new additions to the Grand Complications collection is the stunning Grandmaster Chime Reference 6300GR-001, available for the first time in white and rose gold, with opaline brown dials. This watch boasts an impressive 20 complications, including five acoustic complications with three gongs and five striking modes, all within a reversible 47.7mm case.

A new, platinum reference, 5316/50P-001, combines a minute repeater, tourbillon, perpetual calendar, and retrograde date, all viewable through a blue metalized dégradé sapphire dial. Additionally, there is the self-winding minute repeater, reference 5178G-012, with a white gold case and an intricate hand-guilloché pattern finished with transparent blue Grand Feu enamel on the dial.

Another noteworthy addition is the Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Reference 6300/403G-001, featuring 118 baguette-cut emeralds (7.87 carats) and 291 baguette-cut diamonds (20.54 carats) set in white gold.

Lastly, the Rare Handcrafts World Time Minute Repeater Reference 5531G-001 is a new white gold version, featuring a cloissoné Grand Feu enamel depiction of a Belle Époque-era steamship on Lake Geneva on its dial, in addition to its minute repeater and world-time complication (calibre R 27 HU).

Of the four new Complications watches, Patek Philippe has introduced two chronographs in their Pilot style watch collection that include a Travel Time function and a hand-coupled date indication for local time.

Reference 5924G-001 is offered with a white gold case and a blue-grey sunburst dial. This version comes with a navy-blue grained calfskin strap, while the khaki green lacquered dial version, reference 5924G-010, comes with an olive-green calfskin strap. Consisting of 370 parts, the movement of these watches beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and include a gold central rotor that can be viewed through the transparent, sapphire crystal case back.

Another new model introduced by Patek Philippe is Reference 5905R-010, which combines a self-winding flyback chronograph with an Annual Calendar function. The watch is powered by a Calibre CH 28-520 QA 24H flyback chronograph movement and is presented in an 18ct rose gold case with a sunburst blue dial, along with golden hands and hour markers, and annual calendar functions. The watch is paired with a dark blue alligator leather strap.

For the fourth new addition, Patek Philippe has also introduced a Calatrava model with a Travel Time dual-time zone function. The watch is distinguished by its 24-hour display and has a navy-blue dial with a double railway-track scale for hours and minutes. The 24-hour display is represented by alternating Arabic numerals and hour markers, and cabochon 5-minute markers with a total of 44 rose-gold appliques polished together.

The Aquanaut collection has gained three new additions, catering to both men and women. The rose-gold reference 5261R “Aquanaut Luce” annual calendar, is a versatile piece, suitable for anyone who appreciates its style. The blue-grey dial displays the annual calendar, moonphase, and date, matching the strap.

The second new Aquanaut is the ladies, brown diamond-set reference 5268/200R-010. The rose-gold case is set with 48 diamonds around the bezel. This automatic model features the time and date, and the brown strap perfectly complements the dial.

In the third new addition, Patek Philippe revisits the sporty style of the Aquanaut chronograph in a rose gold version, reference 5968R-001. The automatic flyback chronograph is powered by the calibre CH 28-520 C. The brown dial matches the colour of the strap, and features a central seconds hand and a minute counter at 6 o’clock.

The new Gondolo Serata model features a rose gold case with 94 brilliant-cut spessartites arranged in a gradient and draws attention from the brown-lacquered dial with floral motifs.

Of the four new Calatrava models, a trio of them feature white-gold models with ebony black dials that have a carbon pattern. The white-gold cases house the caliber 26-330 S C self-winding movement with date and stop-seconds function. The dynamism of the design is heightened by touches of colour on the dials and straps.

Patek Philippe is also expanding its range of elegant watches for women with the new Calatrava selfwinding Reference 4997/200R-001, a reinterpretation of a great classic that catches the eye with a rose-gold case, embossed purple-lacquered dial, and 76 diamonds set around the bezel. A purple calfskin strap completes the striking look.
