The Maison was originally renowned for its beautiful manual winding watches, and this is still what Nomos are recognised for to this day, among many other things. Today, Nomos Glashutte make six hand wound movements. Whether accompanied by complications, or fitted with a power reserve or even a date feature – these ground-breaking innovations are part of Nomos’ foundations to success. They tell a story of the company’s journey to date so far. As an official stockist of Nomos manual watches, we invite you to take inspiration from this unique collection, filled with cutting edge technology, beautiful aesthetics and luxury finishes.

Every calibre produced in-house by Nomos is given a unique engraving – an individual movement number. They are also embellished with exquisite perlage and ribbing polishes, capable of chronometer level and of course, adjusted in six positions. The Nomos DUW 4101 movement is fitted with the famous escapement; the company’s patented Swing System. It also features a unique, patented date mechanism and sits inside the Nomos Glashutte Metro 38 Datum watch in urban grey colour – a popular choice within our collection here a Berry’s Jewellers. This timepiece is particularly striking on the eye thanks to its award-winning design which features mint green markers at 3, 9 and 12 o’clock. A striking red second hand can be seen in the small counter at 6 o’clock, and a large date aperture is visible for those who like a little added functionality to their wristwatch.

Our manual Nomos watch collection also features the work of the Alpha caliber – Nomos Glashutte’s highly acclaimed classic. As the first hand wound movement, it still powers more Nomos watches than any other movement. Nomos watches that house this innovation are renowned in particular for being ultra-reliable, robust and incredibly accurate. Among timepieces like the Nomos Ludwig, Nomos Tangente, Nomos Tetra and Nomos Club, it also powers the likes of the Nomos Glashutte Orion 33 - a beautiful ladies wristwatch fitted with a comfortable and stylish grey velour strap. The dial features blue tempered steel central hour and minute hands, accompanied by a miniature second hand in the small second sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The minute dashes and crisp baton indexes making up the hour track contribute to an elegant, contemporary-inspired design, which is equally as easy to read the time from as those with Arabic numerals. The exquisite manually wound organ powers the timepiece for 43 hours without needing to be wound again.

The Nomos DUW 1001 manual wound movement embodies German-made haute horology at its finest. It sits inside the Nomos Glashutte Lambda 39 Rose Gold watch with tempered blue hands. This timeless classic features a three and a half day power reserve, broken down into hours, and a small second sub dial. Together they donate an almost astrological look to the dial, with luxurious rose gold accents radiating from the smooth polished 39mm bezel with Nomos lettered rose golden crown. As a timepiece that promises reliability and endurance, it makes a wonderful companion for travelling, business and socialising.
