The Reverso watch collection is the piece de resistance of Jager-LeCoultre’s universe. The design was born in answer to the need for a wristwatch that exceeded expectations in durability and reliability. The watch needed to withstand shock and impact often experienced during Polo games during the 1930’s. Since then, this signature design has become one of the most popular Jaeger-LeCoultre watches of all time. This instrument features harmonious lines and a true art deco-inspired design. A small second dial adds another level of time reading, whilst a set of blue-coated central hour and minute hands add a captivating splash of colour to the dial. As with all single-faced Reverso watches, the back of this 30-meter water resistant case is left blank, ready for a personalised engraving, and inside the case lies an impeccable in-house developed movement. The 822/2 engine is a self-winding mechanical movement consisting of 108 parts – all of which are hand-assembled within the four walls of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s manufacturing studios in Le Sentier, Switzerland. The dial of this Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic watch, with its sword-shaped hands and elegant silver guilloche background, is vintage-inspired. The chocolate brown strap is from the company’s Fagliano collection and features tone-on-tone brown stitching for an authentic look. The strap wraps comfortably around the contours of the wrist, securing with a polished stainless steel fastening to keep in line with the beautifully rounded rectangular profile of the case itself.
