Over the years Bremont have created a number of especial edition pieces to mark their collaborations with some of the world’s most renowned and most successful pioneers of all time. The EP120 was named after and containing parts of the famous 1942 Spitfire Mk V aircraft - one of the most credited WWII fighters in existence, currently based in Duxford, Cambridgeshire. Also the P-51 - a chronograph chronometer built with original parts from the famous 1944 Mustang WWII P-51K-10, a pacific war veteran also known as ‘Fragile but Agile’. The Bremont Victory was a mechanical retrograde watch that was made with original parts of oak timber and copper from the HMS Victory Ship, most famous as Lord Nelson’s flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar. The Codebreaker was a tribute to Bletchley Park and incorporated significant historical artefacts from the heritage site, whilst the Wright Flyer features original material from the 1903 Wright Flyer aircraft making it Bremont’s ultimate aviation watch. Just as significantly, it showcases Bremont’s first ever proprietary movement, the BWC/01.
In 2016 Bremont released the memorable DH-88 Comet watch. The timepiece celebrated the 1934 record-breaking de Havilland DH-88 Comet, Grosvenor House aircraft. It won the air race from England to Australia, carrying two men for three entire days. Capturing the real essence of success and true aviation spirit, the Bremont DH-88 watches are constructed from stainless steel and rose gold – each one suspending a piece of original spruce plywood from the undercarriage assembly of the aircraft. The robust casework is integrated with Bremont’s patented Trip-Tick technology which fortifies and strengthens the outer shell of the watch, to better withstand extreme external forces. Painstakingly crafted within the four walls of Bremont’s design studios in Henley-On-Thames, the Bremont DH-88 Special Edition watches house the impeccable BE-54AE chronometer rated movement which supplies chronograph functions seen at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock on the dial. The movement also provides a reliable 42 hour power reserve and oscillates at a high frequency with 28,800 vibrations per hour.
The Bremont DH-88 Comet Special Editions are perfect for those gentlemen with a life-long love for traditional watchmaking beauty. The intricacy of the design along with the meticulous layout of each individual component which can be admired via a transparent caseback, is something of a fine art. The stainless steel version of the Bremont DH-88 Comet watch is restricted to just 282 pieces worldwide, the rose gold case even less at just 82.
For something a little more unique, the Bremont Oracle Team USA watch is a companion for a dedicated sport enthusiast and a follower of the world renowned international sport, the America’s Cup. Made from a bold 500 meter water resistant titanium construction, the timepiece is powered via the beautifully finished caliber 13 ¼” BE-92-2AE movement which offers a 42 hour power reserve and a molded and skeletonised decorated rotor. As a celebration of Bremont’s role as Official Timing Partner to the 35th America’s Cup and the ORACLE TEAM USA, the timepiece features an anti-shock movement mount and anti-magnetic Faraday cage, to protect the COSC certified movement.
