With a long history of supplying the Royal Italian Navy with high-precision watches, a strong military influence can be seen in many of the Panerai watch designs and due to the limited number they produce, Panerai watches are revered around the globe.
On the first floor of the Berry’s store in the luxurious Victoria Quarter shopping complex in Leeds, the Panerai Lounge has been designed by the same team that created the watch brand’s London Bond Street store and uses several identical elements including submarine themed cabinets and a circular magnifying cabinet that allows customers to view the finer details of a Panerai timepiece more closely. Taking inspiration from Panerai’s long association with the Royal Italian Navy, the lounge has a distinct nautical feel and the floor tiles, which are made from Florentine marble, provide a link to brand’s Italian roots.
Panerai watches combine innovation with stylish tradition to create a magnificent collection of timepieces. The manufacturing plant based on the Lake of Neuchatel – the birth home of many horological traditions – is the nerve centre for these exclusive luxury watches. Expert hands craft each watch from start to finish, equipping them with in-house movements that promise the very best in quality and precision.
It was the year of 2002 that defined and reshaped Panerai. The production of their very first Calibre, the P.2002 with its impressive 8-day power reserve, allowed the company to start communicating their passion for fine Swiss manufacture within their breathtaking watch designs. After the success of the first Calibre, a full range of independently developed Calibres followed, allowing Panerai to generate their own empire of beautiful timepieces built to withstand the test of time.
