The designs draw from the powerful grace of the stealth-like panther and have been inspired by the elegant Panthère de Cartier jewellery collection. Evoking a sense of elegance and beauty, these creations are distinct in their design. Its flexible structure echoes the movements of the Maison’s emblematic animal, crafted from a series of curved and polished links. First launched in 1983, the Panthère de Cartier timepiece reinvented the concept of a jewellery watch and continues to be a sought after design to this day.  

Originally introduced in 1983, the Panthère de Cartier watch was made famous by its iconic shape and the screws on the bezel. The face featured the same stylised Roman numeral hour markers that the newly renovated models do, along with the railway track index. The newer variations are operated via quartz movements, keeping these watches simple and elegantly thin. It is however, the bracelet which has changed slightly in manufacture, yet it still offers something incredibly beautiful to the wrist whether worn for social events, work or special occasions.

The new design of the Panthère de Cartier watch features a pronounced, square shaped case with smoothly rounded corners. These watches are finished in stainless steel, 18ct pink gold and 18ct yellow gold. Depending on preference, each timepiece can offer something different to an outfit. The lady has the choice between a discreet 22mm x 30mm case or a slightly larger 27mm x 37mm case for greater wrist presence. Each Panthère de Cartier watch from our collection here at Berry’s, is executed on a stylish link bracelet, designed to meld over the contours of the lady’s wrist with ease. The Panthère de Cartier medium Steel & 18ct Yellow Gold Roman Dial Bracelet Watch for example, features strands of yellow gold interwoven through the bracelet, as well as a beautifully polished square bezel. The sumptuous silver dial showcases large black transferred Roman numerals and blue steeled central hands which prowl the dial elegantly.

For something a little more dramatic, the ultra-glamorous Panthère de Cartier medium 18ct Pink Gold & Diamond Set Bezel Ladies Watch is draped in luxurious rose gold tones. Diamonds have been incorporated into the 27mm x 37mm case to add extra sparkle to the wrist, whilst the classic design elements of the design keep the watch feeling authentic and modest. Again, the watch is equipped with a Swiss-made quartz battery to promise round-the-clock precision, and a solid caseback ensures 30 meter water resistant protection to this movement. As with all Panthère de Cartier pieces, a sapphire crystal glass front protects the dial of this watch. Integrated with anti reflective and scratch resistant properties, this material ensures that reading the time is never affected by any undesirable glare from the sun or artificial lighting, no matter what the time of day or what the occasion.
