Chopard Watches

Established in 1888, Chopard Watches have been a symbol of excellence, precision and reliability. In the small Swiss village of Sonvilier, a talented innovator named Louis-Ulysse Chopard began making pocket watches and chronometers of the very highest standard. It was this recognition for precision and attention to detail that soon gained him a reputation that now sits alongside the names of some of the world’s elite in the watchmaking industry.

In 1985 the company expanded further and Louis-Ulysse handed the company down to his son, Paul-Louis. 1985 also coincided with the first Chopard Jewellery collection.

Chopard

To this day. Chopard continue to build upon their expertise in fine Swiss watch manufacture. The team of artisan watchmakers that have become Chopard’s family, continue the success of the company’s future by building on their skills and strengthening those family-owned values that were there before. Chopard are not only the official timekeeper of Italy’s prestigious Mille Miglia races, but have been timekeepers for Swiss railways and have also been official timekeepers of the Grand Prix Monaco Historique for over 12 years.

Bearing testament to Chopard's ethical approach, Alpine Eagle gives the Maison an opportunity to reveal its new commitment to protecting the Alpine environment through the launch of the Eagle Wings Foundation - of which Karl-Friedrich Scheufele is founding member. Alpine Eagle is dedicated to contemporary eagles, the aspiring men who outperform in their daily lives and whose vision inspires and elevates. With foresight and determination, they act on the challenges of tomorrow and are innately aware of the importance of environmental issues.

Contemporary, refined and assertive, the Alpine Eagle sports chic timepiece collection is a state-of-the-art reinterpretation of the St. Moritz, the first watch created in 1980 by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, now co-president of Chopard. Imagined and personally designed by him, Alpine Eagle is driven by his passion for the Alps and by the lofty power of the eagle that reigns supreme there. Crafted from an exclusive, ultra-resistant and light-reflecting metal named Lucent Steel A223, it beats to the rhythm of a Chopard chronometer-certified movement.
