Brand Showcase: Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin watches are renowned for their beautiful in-house developed mechanical movements which are matched by a wealth of expertise and know-how. These master designers, responsible for making such works of art, were known as cabinotiers, who were situated on top of Geneva’s city buildings. It was this precise location that gave them the space to focus their mind towards creating powerful engines, developed intricately by a steady hand and a keen eye for detail. Bathed in natural light, these cabinets saw ideas nurtured by master craftsmen come to life.

Vacheron Constantin became even more famous with the development of their 57260 watch with its 57 horological complications. The most complicated watch ever took a total of eight years to create resulting in an authentic masterpiece that stood as an example of the company’s breadth of skill and expertise. Vacheron Constantin are proud creators of astronomical watches, military timepieces, grand strike complications and one-of-a-kind models depicted by jungle animals, the skies and mythical creatures. Some of these special timepieces feature delicately engraved cases and fine decoration applied to the tiny components of their movements. Enamelling and other intricate embellishments add character and layers to a timepiece, enabling the owner to enjoy wearing a watch that can look and feel like no other watch before or after it.

By creating a controlled number of timepieces in their workshops, Vacheron Constantin has become a house of connoisseurs. Producing timepieces in such small quantities enables the Maison to achieve absolute excellence and the highest level of quality. This philosophy creates an exclusive club of watchmaking enthusiasts, keen collectors and savvy watch wearers – all of whom can appreciate the complex approach that is taken to achieve perfection in every Vacheron Constantin watch. Many famous individuals are dedicated collectors of a Vacheron Constantin watch, including music composer, writer and performer James Bay and Benjamin Clemantine, explorer and photographer, Cory Richards and designer, Ora Ito.
